This Privacy Policy explains how CupidCompanies ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit cupidcompanies.com or use our products, including CupidCalendar (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Service, including when you:
Because CupidCalendar touches deeply personal relationship topics, some information you choose to share — relating to emotional wellbeing, intimacy, sexual wellness, therapy, or communication — may qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law.
We process such information only:
Sensitive data features in the app will be governed by a separate Sensitive Data Consent presented at the time you enable them.
We may use personal information to:
We may create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data derived from personal information for product development, analytics, benchmarking, educational materials, and marketing claims. We will not use your name, direct identifiers, or recognizable personal story in public-facing marketing without your separate express permission.
Where required by law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, and service functionality. Where required by law, we provide consent choices for non-essential tracking and honor your selections.
We may share personal information with:
We do not sell or share identified personal data for third-party independent marketing purposes.
We may store and process personal information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — for restricted international transfers.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely de-identify it where feasible.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including role-based access controls, encryption in transit, hashed identifiers for sensitive data, monitoring, and vendor controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@cupidcompanies.com. We may verify your identity before processing your request.
Deleting your account and data
You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
In the app. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, relationship data, check-ins, reflections, and any shared content. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
By email. Send a deletion request to privacy@cupidcompanies.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
Note: Some data may be retained for a limited period where required by law or for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Retained data is isolated from active use and deleted as soon as legally permitted.
CupidCalendar is designed to support healthy, intentional connection between adults. Using the app does not replace direct communication between partners. A reminder, shared plan, check-in, prior preference, or AI-generated suggestion does not equal consent.
The platform may only be used in respectful, lawful, and non-coercive ways. You may not use it to:
Shared features — including shared calendars, reflections, and relationship tools — should support trust and communication, not surveillance or control. Before enabling shared features, users are encouraged to review visibility settings and discuss openly what will be shared.
CupidCalendar is not a substitute for licensed therapy or counseling, medical advice, legal advice, crisis intervention, or emergency services. If you feel unsafe or threatened, please seek help from local emergency or support services immediately.

We send marketing and promotional communications — including email and SMS — only with your prior opt-in consent. You will never receive marketing messages from us unless you have expressly agreed to receive them.
Marketing emails require your affirmative opt-in at the time of sign-up or through a separate consent step. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at privacy@cupidcompanies.com.
We will only send SMS or text messages to your mobile number if you have explicitly opted in to receive them. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at privacy@cupidcompanies.com.
Service-related messages, billing notices, and security alerts are not marketing communications and may be sent when operationally necessary, regardless of marketing preferences.
If you reside in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or another jurisdiction with additional privacy rights, you may have rights or disclosures beyond those described above. We will provide any additional notices, opt-outs, or consent tools required by applicable law.
The Service is intended only for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have done so, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notification.
